Changing the landscape of the language in the wedding industry
This week I learnt more about my wording in the wedding industry. Big thanks and shout out to @mrtheodoreweddings for helping me to identify another one.
In recent years I’ve changed a lot of the wording on my website to reflect the changes in laws around marriage. More importantly, to reflect my own values of equality.
There was one that I still hadn’t identified though. “Bridal Party” needed to be changed to “Wedding Party”. So, I jumped onto my website and it was a 10 second job. As innocent a mistake as it is, I realise the impact that it might have.
