All of my Wedding Tips for getting ready on your day

Wedding Tip # 1

Wedding Stationary

Adding photos of all of your wedding stationary is a great way to put your colour scheme into your images at the start of the day.

Have a full set of your invitations and save the date cards out ready for us to get a few photos.

Wedding Tip # 2

Clear working space

Having a clear area for us to work in is a big tip that we always appreciate. If you're in an Airbnb, keep one room clear of any belongings so that we can use that space to capture all of your detail such as the dress, jewellery, shoes and flowers.

You can also then use that room to dress in and capture some great images without any clutter in the background

Wedding Tip # 3

Have your details together

Have all of your details together in the one spot ready for us when we arrive. Hopefully by the time we arrive, you will also have your flowers delivered and ready for us to photograph.

Please have your dress, jewellery, shoes, perfume, flowers, garter and any other details all in one location ready for us.

Wedding Tip # 4

Natural Light

Using as much natural light as possible will always deliver greater images than having to use a flash. As photographers, we are always chasing natural light from windows or doors. If you can, select a room with lots of natural light for that room to keep clear of clutter.

The results are worth it.

Wedding Tip # 5

Wedding Gifts

If you plan to give your loved ones a gift whether it be to your Bridesmaids, Groomsmen, Parents or each other, these make for some great images so plan to do them when we are around. The best time to plan for these are when we have finished covering your details and before you all get fully dressed.

You might think that waiting until you are fully dressed might be best but that time is usually the most frantic and rushed.

Wedding Tip # 6

An orderly preparation

Getting ready in order is reasonably important. Ideally you want everyone fully dressed before the bride and groom. During our lead up, we will give you dressing times once your schedule has been finalised so that you know what time to have parents, groomsmen and bridesmaids ready by.

Wedding Tip # 7

White Gown

Hopefully you have those awesome bride and bridesmaids gowns but if not, grab yourself a plain white gown and wear that for when we're there at the start of the day so that you look great in any candid photos that we snap of you.

Wedding Tip # 8

Delivery of flowers

Have your florist deliver your flowers just before our arrival time to the bride getting ready.

That way we won't be rushed at the last minute when they arrive to do things like button holes or photographing the flowers as part of any detail images that we shoot.
