In the past I've done a few of these photo shoots. I've done a couple of them just as the bride is about to slip into her dress on the day and a few where it was a more relaxed environment on a non-wedding day.
Instead of rambling on about it, I've quote from an article by Carrie Denny Whitcraft who writes for the Philadelphia Magazine. Her article explains that - "Boudoir photography, the kind in which you—the bride, in this context—partake in a professional photo shoot in which you are in your pretty underthings, and then give the resulting pictures to your groom as a wedding present."
