My approach as a wedding videographer is centered on capturing the raw, unfiltered moments that define your unique connection. Even for the most camera-shy couples, my unobtrusive presence and friendly demeanour create a relaxed atmosphere where authenticity thrives. I believe the best memories emerge when you're comfortable just being yourselves, and I pride myself on fostering that environment.
With years of experience spanning countless wedding venues across Melbourne, I've honed my craft in diverse settings, from iconic landmarks to hidden gems. This wealth of experience has not only refined my technical skills but has also instilled in me a deep understanding of how to navigate various environments and lighting conditions. Every frame I capture is infused with the essence and character of its surroundings, ensuring your memories are as vibrant and authentic as the moments themselves.

Kind Words - Catherine & Ash
"From the first time we met Matt, we knew he was the one for us. Matt's communication was excellent, he kept us in the loop throughout the whole process (before & after the big day) and delivered a phenomenal video. Matt & his team were very professional and so much fun on the day. Highly recommend Matt for your photo & video needs!"
Will we capture footage using a drone?
The use of Drones for your wedding film or to capture still images depends on weather conditions and the laws around whatever areas we are in. I am a registered drone operator with CASA and to keep flying, I need to follow their rules. For example, the laws state that drones can't be flown with 5.5kms of an airport with a control tower. There are also limits on how close we can fly near people so during the planning process for your wedding, these factors will be taken into consideration. If weather conditions prohibit us from flying, I always go back to the venue on a good day to capture what we need for the film.
What resolution do we shoot video in?
We shoot everything in 4k resolution and deliver your files in 4k too.
Can you choose the music for your wedding video?
The short answer is yes but the longer answer needs a blog post all on its own which is over here.
I use a music service called Musicbed which is hands down the best that I've come across. When I'm looking for music, I generally start with a slower song to help build the mood and then finish off with a more upbeat song. I also try to match the key of the songs so that it flows nicely together.
Feel free to jump over to Musicbed to go through the playlists and you'll get the vibe of the music I usually go for by checking out some of the wedding films I have produced.
Making changes to your film
During the editing process of your film, I use my best judgement for what to include in your short montage film. Obviously 10 to 12 hours of footage can't be squeezed down into a short clip and so you will have three rounds of changes after your initial draft has been sent to you. Further rounds of changes are charged at $125 per hour and will be quoted prior to going ahead.
What is it and what can you do with it?
Raw footage is a copy of all video files captured on your day and given to you in chronological order camera by camera. It's unedited hence the name raw and so expect to see out of focus and shakey footage.
